The
formula for exact calculation of TTZ:
TTZ = Training Range % + Resting Heart Rate
Training Range % = (Heart Rate Reserve) x (60% to 80%)
Heart Rate Reserve = MHR - Resting Heart Rate
The
formula for quick calculation of TTZ:
TTZ = 70% to 80% of MHR
Eg.: If your MHR is 190, then your TTZ is between 133 to 152
You
can also refer the chart below to find out the TTZ for various ages.
Draw a vertical line starting from your age found in the horizontal
line below. The two nos. that cross at the lower and upper limits
of green zone will give you the TTZ.
